Morgan Gardiner is a cinematographer and camera operator who works between Los Angeles and Cape Town. Born and raised in Hollywood, Morgan grew up visiting her cinematographer father on film sets until she transitioned into working on them. She received a BFA in Film & Television at NYU Tisch, graduating in 2019 before returning to her home of Los Angeles. It was at NYU that she honed in on her skills in cinematography by making her own shorts, working as a camera assistant on upperclassmen projects, and eventually shooting her friends' thesis films, all while working on features as a digital utility on summer breaks.
She just completed her first feature as A Camera Operator on indie film "Land of Wolves" in Los Angeles in July, and before that was B Camera Operator on the new Blumhouse movie "Help!" shot in Cape Town. She was a 2022 Emerging Cinematographer Awards honoree for her short film "Molly Robber." Additionally she has a passion for underwater cinematography and hopes to keep operating underwater.
